About this Course

This camp incorporates hands-on activities to demonstrate the connection between gardening and composting. Educational components are led by OKC Parks and OKC Beautiful, with field trips to Will Rogers Gardens, OKC Beautiful's school garden at Bodine Elementary, and OKC Skyline Community Garden for full immersion of concepts. Children will gain an overview of how food is grown and how nutrients are recycled in nature, via composting. This camp serves as an introduction to gardening and composting concepts, and how they go hand-in-hand. Camp Dig It is designed for ages 6-12 and runs from 8:30am-12:30pm.
